Action for Healthy Kids® Text Message Terms & Conditions

By opting in to receive text messages from Action for Healthy Kids (“we,” “our,” or “AHK”), you agree to the following terms and acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy (available at https://trusteducation.org/privacy-policy/).

1. Consent to Receive Messages

When you provide your mobile number and opt in, you consent to receive recurring promotional and informational text messages (e.g., program updates, events, fundraising appeals) from Action for Healthy Kids. Message frequency varies. You accept and understand that your consent is not a condition of any donation or purchase.

2. Message and Data Rates

Standard messaging and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier. Action for Healthy Kids is not responsible for charges incurred. You should check your plan.

3. Opt-Out/Help Commands

You can cancel messaging at any time.

• To unsubscribe, reply STOP. You will receive a confirmation message, and no further messages will be sent (unless you opt in again).
• For assistance or more information, reply HELP, or contact us at marketing@actionforhealthykids.org.

4. Privacy and Data Use

• We collect your mobile number and limited contact data to send you text messages.
• We will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Personal data is used for internal operations in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and may be disclosed only when required by law or authorized by you.
• You may withdraw consent or request deletion of your data by contacting us at marketing@actionforhealthykids.org as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security & Retention

• We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
• Your personal information will be retained only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined (e.g., sending messages, record-keeping) and deleted or anonymized thereafter, consistent with applicable legal requirements (Action for Healthy Kids).

6. Children’s Privacy

• We do not knowingly collect or send promotional SMS to users under age 13. In compliance with COPPA, parental consent is required before collecting personal information from children under 13 (Kiteworks | Your Private Data Network).

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with an updated date, and your continued participation indicates your assent to the updated terms.
